Size Guide: Pick the Perfect Canvas
Choose a size based on how many subjects are in your photo and where you’ll hang the painting.
| Canvas size | Best for | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| 40×50 cm | Single portrait or pet | Crop tighter for more facial detail. |
| 40×60 cm / 50×50 cm | Single subject with background, or stylised scenes | Great balance of detail and wall presence. |
| 50×70 cm / 50×90 cm | Couples or two pets | Ideal for living rooms and hallways. |
| 70×90 cm / 80×100 cm | Families or wide landscapes | Maximum detail and bold gallery look. |
Frame Options
- Canvas without frame — budget-friendly and easy to store or take to a local framer.
- Canvas stretched over a frame — arrives ready to hang for that clean, gallery feel.
Standard vs Premium Photo Processing
Standard suits clear, well-lit photos. Premium adds a graphic designer’s hand-painting touch for enhanced edges, contrast, and composition — perfect for low-light shots, busy backgrounds, or older photos.
Pro Tips for the Best Result
- Use a high-resolution photo with good lighting (faces facing the camera).
- Crop tighter if the subject is small in the frame.
- Avoid heavy filters; natural colours translate better to paint.
- For multiple people, choose a larger size to keep details sharp.
Why You’ll Love Painting by Numbers

- Together time — paint with a partner, family, or friends.
- Decor that matters — display your art and relive the memory behind it.

FAQ
What exactly do I receive in the kit?
A premium canvas with numbered outlines, a full set of numbered acrylic paints, and three brushes in different sizes.
Do I need painting experience?
No — it’s designed for beginners. Just match the paint number to the numbered areas on the canvas.
When should I choose Premium photo processing?
Choose Premium for low-light images, older photos, complex backgrounds, or when you want extra refined edges and contrast.
Can I hang it without a frame?
Yes. If you choose a stretched canvas, it arrives ready to hang. A frameless stretched canvas gives a modern gallery look.
